Using government data, PRIME has analysed 50+ self-employment in the English regions. Towards a 50+ Enterprise Culture: a PRIME report highlights the enormous potential for growth in 50+ self-employment.
It also expresses concern about the financial, social and welfare dangers if over one-third of the 50-64 age group remain outside the economic mainstream.
PRIME is a charity linked to both Age Concern and The Prince’s Trust. The report concludes with a number of key recommendations that will enable the growth of more of an enterprise culture for 50-, 60- and even 70-somethings.
